Special needs upper secondary school in Sweden is its own form of schooling
Special needs upper secondary school is its own form of schooling targeted towards students who are unable to meet the requirements of upper secondary school because of a developmental disorder or brain injury.
There are about 300 special needs upper secondary schools in Sweden, however, many of them are connected to the municipal upper secondary schools. Special needs upper secondary schools offer nine national programmes and one individual programme, that are tailored to the individual student’s needs.
