From Egyptian Language School to Swedish IB - Forum

Hallo,

I'm bringing my son from Cairo to Malmö and I would like him to go high school here in Malmö. Which kind of test would he have to pass to be accepted at the IB Program at Malmö Borgarskola? He is coming from a language school in Cairo, where he started when he was 4, but he doesn't speak Swedish. I'm Danish citizen, but my son only have a long term permits. Are we required to pay for the IB program? And how much would it cost?

Best regards Pernille Jessen

Dear Sirs, Resident parent (in DK or SWE) doesn't have to pay a tuition fee. If you don't meet the above criteria then the fee is about 90 000 SEK/year. But, first the student has to pass an entrance exam in English & Mathematics and have very good grades.

Kind regards, Martin Roth, IB-principal
